Homes across Austin, from older bungalows near downtown to newer builds in Round Rock, Cedar Park and Pflugerville, often have bathrooms that were finished decades ago. A full remodel can turn a cramped, dated bathroom into a comfortable, efficient space, and it is one of the best investments you can make in your home.
Every successful bathroom remodel starts with a clear scope. Decide early whether you are refreshing finishes or moving plumbing, walls or the layout. Moving a drain line or relocating a toilet adds cost and days to the schedule, while keeping fixtures in place keeps the project faster and more affordable. Knowing this before work begins prevents surprises mid-project.
Waterproofing is where bathrooms are won or lost. The shower pan, wall surrounds and floor around tubs all need proper membranes and flashing before tile goes in. Cut corners here and problems may not show up for years, by which point you are repairing tile, subfloor and possibly the ceiling below. We build it right the first time so you never have to think about it again.
Ventilation matters more in Central Texas than most people expect. Our humidity and long hot summers mean a bathroom without a properly sized, vented exhaust fan will battle mold and peeling paint year after year. We size fans for the room and duct them outside, not into the attic, where moist air can cause real damage.
